Highlands Playhouse Auction

 

Mark your calendars!  The Highlands Playhouse is hosting an auction on Saturday, May 24 at 7:00 p. m.  All items up for bid will be available for inspection from 6:00 p. m. until the start of the auction, and we are pleased to offer soft drinks, wine and light hors d’oeuvres during the preview hour.  Auctioneer Dodie Allen of Dodie’s Auction House in Sylva will be presiding.  We have two pieces of original artwork from Bryant Art Glass, some interesting pieces of furniture, a beautiful hammock from Brazil , miscellaneous box lots, and many other one-of-a-kind items you just can’t live without.  Don’t miss the fun and bargains of a lifetime!

Lakeside Restaurant 15% Off Bill!

Our generous and wonderful friends at Lakeside Restaurant  on Lake Harris have offered a very special fundraise for the Highlands Playhouse. Please make reservations at the Restaurant 828-526-9149 for Wednesdsay, July 16th and mention that you are dining to benefit the playhouse.  15% of your total bill will be donated to the Playhouse.  Please "dine with a generous heart" and enjoy a most wonderful meal to support the Highlands Playhouse. Dinner is served from 5:30pm.

Children’s Theatre Classes Return

 Back by popular demand, Highlands Playhouse Children’s Theatre will once again be offered. The program is taught by instructors with extensive experience in theatre education. Classes are to begin on July 7^th and run Monday through Friday until July 18^th, with a performance on Saturday, July 19^th. Hours are 9:00am to 12 noon for ages 6-10, and 1:00pm to 4:00pm for ages 11-16. Please contact the Highlands Playhouse for the cost of the two week session.

 Magic Show

 The children will be entertained once again this summer by Henry “Doc” Johnson and his Magic Show. Henry plans to at least two shows during the season. More details to follow.
